Solar car Sunbunny
The three-wheeled solar car Sunbunny is designed to run entirely on solar energy. Its solar panels cover a total area of 6 m², converting solar energy into electricity while driving. A compact lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 3 kWh stores energy and provides the car with power in temporary absence of sunlight. The powertrain includes a 10 kW electric motor, which drives the two rear wheels. The front wheel serves as a steering wheel, allowing for a compact and lightweight design with a minimum of mechanical components. Thanks to the use of carbon fiber, the car weighs only 80 kg, and carefully optimized aerodynamics significantly reduce air resistance and energy consumption while driving. Sunbunny is capable of reaching speeds in excess of 160 km/h. For safety and compliance with road regulations, the car is equipped with two rear brake lights and one central brake light, front, side, and rear turn signals, and two daytime running lights.
