Electric off-roader Extion

This electric off-roader features a massive ladder-frame chassis, a rigid body structure, and a high seating position. A sealed, high-voltage lithium-ion battery with a capacity of 116 kWh is integrated into the frame within a protective housing; the battery's underside is shielded by a special guard incorporating carbon-fiber material. The vehicle utilizes an all-wheel-drive system powered by four individually controlled electric motors, which are integrated directly into the frame structure near the wheels. The powertrain delivers a combined output of 435 kW and a peak torque of 1,170 Nm. Each electric motor drives a specific wheel via its own reduction gear, eliminating the need for a mechanical driveshaft connection between the front and rear axles. The electrical architecture enables a low-range gear function for traversing challenging off-road terrain. The vehicle features an independent front suspension and a rigid rear axle mounted to the frame, adhering to the model's traditional design. The bodywork is characterized by vertical sides, flat panels, a near-vertical windshield, prominent fenders, a high hood line, and a tailgate-mounted spare wheel. The interior includes front and rear seating, a substantial dashboard with digital displays, a center console, and controls designed for both on-road and off-road use. Power is supplied to the electric motors from the battery via power inverters that regulate the current and frequency for each motor. The vehicle offers a range of up to 475 km and is engineered to maintain superior off-road capability when tackling steep inclines, mud, rocky terrain, and deep water crossings.
