Electric robotaxi Nice
An electric robotaxi with a one-box body design, intended for urban passenger transport. The body features short overhangs, vertical side panels, extensive glazing, and wide door openings, allowing the cabin to occupy a significant portion of the interior volume. A lithium-ion traction battery is housed in the lower section of the body, positioned within the underfloor area between the axles. All-wheel drive is achieved via a 4×4 configuration: each wheel is equipped with its own coaxial electric motor connected to the wheel through a compact planetary gear set. This design eliminates the need for a central driveshaft and traditional differentials, as torque from each motor is transmitted directly to the corresponding wheel. The front suspension utilizes a MacPherson strut setup with steering knuckles and control arms that manage steering and handle vertical and lateral loads. An independent double-wishbone suspension with separate shock absorbers is installed at the rear, connecting the wheels to the vehicle's structural frame. The interior is designed entirely around the passengers: two wide bench seats, each approximately 1.5 meters long, face each other to create a compact seating area complete with a central folding table. Storage compartments for personal belongings are provided beneath the bench seats. The wide side doors open in opposite directions, ensuring unobstructed access to the facing seats; cabin entry is managed via a payment card. The front of the vehicle lacks a traditional radiator grille, as the electric powertrain does not require the large cooling system associated with internal combustion engines. Exterior lighting elements are integrated into the body's horizontal lines, while the high roof and panoramic glazing create a bright, airy passenger cabin.
