Roadster '60s Super 5

The Super 5 is a lightweight, rear-wheel-drive, two-seater electric sports car. It features a space-frame chassis, an open body with low side panels, separate front fenders, a compact windshield, and exposed wheels. The bodywork is constructed from lightweight fiberglass. A lithium-ion battery pack is housed in the front section of the frame, while the electric drive motor and reduction gear—which delivers torque to the drive wheels—are located on the rear axle. An inverter regulates power delivery to the motor based on accelerator input, providing instant thrust without the need for a multi-speed transmission. The front suspension utilizes independent double wishbones with coil-over shock absorbers, while the rear suspension is independent, featuring a combination of trailing and transverse arms, springs, and shock absorbers. This configuration ensures precise wheel control and maintains vehicle stability during hard acceleration and cornering. The car's low mass and low-profile body reduce inertia and enhance steering responsiveness. The interior is minimalist in design, featuring two bucket seats, a small sports steering wheel, an open dashboard with round gauges, and minimal trim elements. During braking, the electric motor can switch to generator mode, recovering a portion of the kinetic energy and feeding it back into the battery.
